This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is primarily found on Haida Gwaii, but has also been reported on the Brooks Peninsula on the west coast of Vancouver Island, and on Porcher Island. Given the inaccessibility and intricate coastline of much of the broader region, there are likely other undiscovered populations as well.
↑Habitat
Found in moist, shady, shady, rocky crevices and talus slopes in the rainforests of Coastal British Columbia, mostly on the larger islands.
↑Life Cycle
This species is a rhizomatous perennial that blooms in the spring.
