Introduced |
This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is agreed-on to be introduced in North America, but we found conflicting reports of where it occurs. POWO reports it in Maine but neither USDA PLANTS, BONAP, nor Go Botany show this record. There are some herbarium records of this species in places that authorities seem to agree it does not occur, such as Washington State; these records may be invalid but we have been unable to investigate specifics. For now our map is based on Herbarium records in Vancouver, combined with the fact that POWO reports this species as also introduced in Labrador, but we note that with this degree of disagreement and the fact that we have not seen a clear explanation for the disagreement, there may be remaining issues with our map.
