Latin American Mock Vervain (Glandularia tenera (Spreng.) Cabrera)
POWO has reclassified this as Verbena tenera Spreng., but also reports a much broader introduced range, extending across the southern US and into Mexico. We suspect that this may reflect having merged multiple taxa into that taxon, which are considered separate by BONAP. However, we have not yet sorted out these discrepancies; currently our range map reflects BONAP's classification scheme.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
