This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

This species is native to the south-central and southwestern US through Mexico and southward. We mark the non-native California populations Expanded because they are relatively close to the native range, but they could perhaps also be labeled Introduced. The eastern populations we mark Introduced as they are very far from the native range, but we note that FSUS marks them as waifs so this species is not necessarily established in the wild in these regions, which is reflected in the regions being grayed out on our map. We have not yet built the portion of this species' map in Mexico.
