Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

There is one isolated record of this species in the central valley. Because it is near a campground in an area where the natural ecosystems have been severely altered, we suspect it is not native to the central valley, which is why we mark it possibly expanded in that region.
