Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is agreed upon to be native to Texas, and not Georgia, but the exact extent of its native range is not known. Our map reflects the treatment by FSUS, which reflects more uncertainty than BONAP's map which marks it as native to Louisiana and adventive farther east. This species is also native to Mexico, but discontiguously with its range in the US. We have yet to build this portion of its map.
