Notes

We recommend against the use of the term "desert polygala" because it references a scientific genus. Most newer authorities have reclassified this species out of that genus and into Rhinotropis, making that common name misleading or confusing. "Milkwort" is a common name for plants now classified in a number of genera, making that a better choice of common name.
