Ballona Cinquefoil (Potentilla multijuga Lehm.)
Although this species is agreed to exist, the type specimen by this name actually belongs to wedgeleaf horkelia (Potentilla lindleyi) var. lindleyi, which is often called Horkelia cuneata var. cuneata. The name Potentilla multijuga is retained as a conserved name that technically violates naming rules.

This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 4 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species was only ever observed in the 1890's at a few locations near where Los Angeles International Airport is currently located. All more recent attempts to locate it have failed and it is presumed extinct.
