Weak Saxifrage (Saxifraga rivularis L.)
POWO and FNA consider populations described as Saxifraga rivularis var. flexuosa (Sternberg) Engler & Irmscher to belong not to this species, but to pygmy saxifrage (Saxifraga hyperborea), whereas other authorities including USDA PLANTS and BONAP consider those populations part of this species. As these are the populations are the only ones found in the lower 48 US, this difference in treatment explains the major discrepancy in range maps between these sources. We follow POWO's scheme.
↑Range
With our treatment, this species does not occur in the lower 48 US, but it is native to Canada and Alaska; we have yet to build its map.↑Links & External Resources
