↑Notes

The common name "Virginia Goldenrod" is misleading as, although this species is native to Virginia, it is uncommon there and only found at a few isolated locations. Although this species is nowhere widespread and abundant, it is relatively more common in the south of its range from Alabama through South Carolina.
