Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is widely cultivated in gardens, and can escape into the wild. Although populations from Louisana eastward likely originated as such escapes, we mark it expanded because these new populations are reltaively contiguous with its native range and not separated by distances much larger than exist in its native range.
