This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
We found a single 1967 record from the Baja Californian Desert, isolated relatively far from the rest of this plant's range. It is not clear whether or not this species still occurs there. Similarly, the records from the Sonoran Basin and Range, near Mexicali, of which we found three, were both isolated, and old, one in 1949 and two in 1971, with none since.
