Jack's Oak (Hybrid) (Quercus ×jackiana C.K. Schneid.)

Page contents

A hybrid of Q. alba and Q. bicolor.

Range - Expand

Native or Not Present

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

This hybrid is also native to Canada, but we have yet to build this portion of its range map.

The term jack oak also refers to jack oak (Quercus ellipsoidalis), which also is known as Hill's oak and Northern pin oak, which is part of the red oak group and not closely related to this hybrid.
