Upland Boneset (Eupatorium ×truncatum Muhl. ex Willd.)

POWO does not recognize this as a species, instead treating Eupatorium truncatum Muhl. ex Willd. as a synonym of Eupatorium perfoliatum L. We have not yet seen any justification for this treatment, wheareas this species' hybrid origins have been verified by genetic analysis (McKain et al 2010) so we treat this as a hybrid species in its own right.
