Habitat

This fern has been found at several locations along the south end of Georgian Bay in Ontario. It consistently seems to grow on sites in Northern Hardwood forests that are shaded but disturbed, where there are rock outcroppings of dolomite occurring at the base of cliffs.

Life Cycle

This fern seems to be sterile, unable to reproduce sexually.
