Also known as bush seepweed, mojave sea-blite; also classified as Suaeda moquinii (Torr.) Greene, Suaeda suffrutescens S.Watson .
Both BONAP and POWO have merged desert seepweed, Suaeda suffrutescens S.Watson, into this species.
