Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is occasionally cultivated, which has led to its establishment on a few sites east of its native range. We mark the Massachussets population introduced because it is isolated from the rest of the range by great distance, but mark the portion closer to the native range as expanded, although it is isolated enough that it could probably be marked introduced as well.
