White Spirea (Spiraea betulifolia Pall.)
POWO uses the Spiraea betulifolia Pall. to refer to a taxon strictly limited to East Asia and not found in North America. We suspect that this reflects a split in which the population USDA and BONAP refer to by this name is now considered by some other name(s); unfortunately POWO does not provide any tools to clarify this change so it may be some time before we sort this out.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is also native to Canada, but we have yet to build this portion of its range map.
