Native or Expanded or Not Present

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

BONAP reports this species adventive slightly east of its native range; we mark it expanded due to proximity to the native range. We have not verified the origin of these reports; this species however is not widely used in landscaping, and has wind-dispersed seeds and is likely to readily colonize new sites on its own when suitable habitat exists.
