Habitat

We have little information on this plant's habitat in the U.S., but gardening sites note it prefers moist, acidic soil rich in organic matter, and does best in sites with significant direct sun but protection from afternoon sun.

Faunal Associations

Even in the U.S. this plant seems to support aphids.
