Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species has spread into new areas due to use as a forage crop as well as in revegetation projects. It is mainly established at isolated sites across Missouri; we mark these as expanded because of the proximity to the native range.
