Warty Spurge (Euphorbia spathulata Lam.)
Also classified as Euphorbia obtusata Pursh.
Most sources consider Euphorbia obtusata Pursh to belong to this species, but a few authorities, such as Missouri Plants separate it as its own species. Some sources including USDA PLANTS lump giant spurge (Euphorbia alta) in with this species. We follow POWO's treatment of lumping E. obtusata into this species, but separating E. alta, and not recognizing any sub-taxa of this species.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is also native to Ontario, Canada, and Mexico; we have yet to build these portions of its map.
