Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species has also been introduced in Canada but we have yet to build this portion of its map. In general this species is more abundant in the northeast than in the northwest where it has only been reported from scattered records. However the northwestern states have also undertaken more aggressive campaigns to eradicate it.
