This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

BONAP considers this species Adventive in Florida, meaning it is not native there; the only Florida record is from 1954, southwest of Baker, FL, relatively far from the rest of the range. FSUS marks it as a waif meaning it probably did not persist. In the whole rest of the Southeastern Plains, where this species occurs, it is native. This species has been extirpated from PA, but still occurs farther south in most of the same ecoregions in PA where it once occurred.
