BONAP reports this species as "Adventive" in West Virginia, suggesting that it is not native there and probably established from garden escapes. FSUS however reports it as native there. Our map reflects this uncertainty; it is agreed-upon to be native in the rest of its range, including all portions of the ecoregions shown here that are not part of WV.
