This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is planted in gardens, and can escape into the wild. It has established in this way only in northern New Hampshire; we mark this population introduced because it is separated from the native range by a long distance, and we see no evidence that this species is expanding at the borders of its native range.
