This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 4 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is native to Europe, but endangered there. POWO also reports this species as introduced in New York state, but BONAP and USDA PLANTS do not show that record. The New York Flora Atlas shows it as introduced in Tompkins county, but having unknown naturalized status, meaning it may have been cultivated. It is possible that this species is underreported because it closely resembles Queen Anne's lace (Daucus carota) and people do not necessary know to check against it.
