↑Habitat
Common in dry, open rocky forests in upland areas, particularly on slopes. Common in, but generally restricted to these habitats. Can be found along roadsides and woodland edges in these habitats. Tolerant of drought and some shade, but intolerant of wet soils.
↑Uses
Uncommonly grown in gardens. Easy to grow on well-drained sites, but difficult to transplant.
