Notes

There is significant disagreement in different sources about whether or not this species is native in the US. Both USDA and BONAP report this species as native to the southeastern U.S., but numerous other sources report it as only native to the old world. Since neither USDA nor BONAP give explanation or justification for their claim that this species is native, we have chosen to go with the authors who mark it as introduced.
