This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is grown in gardens and can escape cultivation, but it has mostly only established in a narrow band near the east coast. Although these populations likely mostly established through garden escapes, we mark them as expanded because they are extensive and largely connected to the native range. Some of the more isolated northern populations could perhaps be marked introduced.
