Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This plant is occasionally cultivated in gardens, and can escape into the wild. It has tended to escape in such a manner mostly relatively close to its native range, and we have marked these populations expanded, although some of them are isolated enough that they could perhaps be marked introduced. We mark the California population introduced because it is more isolated.
