This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species has been introduced both in the northeast and in Minnesota, from garden escapes. We mark both these populations introductions because they are separated from the native range, and because this species is uncommon in the wild in the northernmost portions of its range and shows no evidence of expanding or filling in gaps in its new range.
