This map is tentatively based on the USDA map but updated to reflect that this species is probably not native to the West Coast. There is disagreement however about how to classify this species, and its range. Calflora reports a much more extensive range in California than reported by USDA for this species, or even than reported by BONAP for the taxon (which they consider to be native in the West) that they have merged this species into. We have not yet examined this discrepancies, so note these possible issues when consulting our map.
