Western Columbine (Aquilegia formosa Fisch. ex DC.)
The USDA PLANTS database lumps Foster's columbine (Aquilegia fosteri) and desert columbine (Aquilegia shockleyi) in with this species, not even recognizing any varieties or subspecies, but we follow the treatment of POWO and BONAP, which considers those separate species.
