California Blackberry (Rubus ursinus Cham. & Schltdl.)
Also known as Pacific dewberry; also classified as Rubus vitifolius Cham. & Schltdl.
Both BONAP and POWO have merged the Pacific dewberry (Rubus vitifolius) into this species. We have accepted this merge, but note that the USDA and some sources derived from it still consider that to be a separate species.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is also native to southwestern Canada and northwest Mexico; we have yet to build these portions of its range map.
