Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
We mark the new portions of the range as Expanded because it occurs consistently over a large area with only relatively small gaps between populations. This species is also native throughout Mexico; we have yet to build this portion of its map.
↑Habitat
In its native range, crested anoda is mostly found in disturbed areas near streams. Both in and beyond its native range it occurs as a weed in cropland, particularly in soybean fields.
