Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

BONAP reports more populations as adventive than FSUS; for now we follow BONAP's scheme and mark Midwestern and Virginia populations as Expanded, not Introduced, since they are nearly adjacent to the native range, separated only by short distances. This species is also native to Mexico and Canada; we have yet to build these portions of its map.
