↑Habitat
The habitat preferences of this species in North America are not well-known as it is in the early stages of establishing in the wild in most places. It is currently most common in anthropogenic habitats, especially around gardens where it was planted. It can be found on roadsides, forest edges, meadows, and fields.
Some of the most aggressive populations of this plant have been found along the Chesapeake and Ohio canal in Maryland.
