BONAP marks the isolated East Texas population "Adventive", suggesting it is not truly native, but FSUS, which usually tends to be more up-to-date on these matters, marks it as native. For now we mark it as possibly native or Expanded. We have not found any explanation of the competing claims of establishment means in that region.
