This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

For some unknown reason, BONAP's map notates this species as native to Washington State but nowhere else in North America. USDA PLANTS gives the rarely-used designation of being both native and introduced in the lower 48 US. We could not find any rationale for these designations; other sources we consulted agree that this species is native to Eurasia and introduced everywhere in North America and we have yet to find any explanation for the discrepancies, so for now we report this species as introduced everywhere.
