Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species has widely been reported from isolated sites across North America, but its range is not as contiguous as the range map suggests as it consists mostly of small, isolated populations separated by significant distances. It has also been introduced widely throughout Mexico, and slightly into Canada, although we have yet to build these portions of its map.
