Notes

We prefer the descriptor "golden eye" to "Carey's" even though "Carey's" matches the scientific epithet careyana because we prefer descriptive common names to honorific ones. The common name "pseudosaxifrage" references how this species has been moved out of the Saxifraga genus, the "true saxifrages".
