Native or Expanded or Not Present

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

POWO reports this species as also introduced in Canada, in NS, NB, and QB; we have not yet located any confirmation of these reports. FNA does not mention any populations in Canada but notes that this species may be expanding its range in the northeast. We mark some of the new populations as introduced, because they are separated from the native range by a large gap, but the population in Delaware is adjacent to a native population and we mark this one as expanded.
