This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

Although we have not found conclusive evidence that this species has not been introduced or established in the wild in Mexico, its range distribution in the US, in many ecoregions along the US-Mexican border, and its adaptability in tropical regions with similar climates suggests that it likely could survive in much of Mexico.

Notes

Some sources refer to this species by the name "Common Jujube" but we recommend avoiding that common name as it is ambiguous, sometimes also used to refer to the Indian jujube (Ziziphus mauritiana).
