This species is widely planted in gardening, landscaping, and ecological restoration plantings, including outside its native range. It has widely established in new areas as a result. We have marked the entire new range as Expanded because it is largely contiguous with the native range, and separated only by small gaps not much larger than those that exist within the native range.
