POWO does not list a name Justicia ovata (Walter) Lindau, with those authorities, although it list three names Justicia ovata with other authorities, including one attributed to (Walter) Forsyth f. However, with that name, which POWO treats as a synonym of Dianthera ovata Walter, it is not immediately clear whether or not it refers to the same taxon. We have yet to investigate and resolve this discrepancy.
