This small weedy plant is rarely planted, but spreads readily on its own. It has expanded eastward, taking advantage of anthorpogenic habitats, but it remains much less common in most of the east than in its native range. We mark the entire new range expanded even though there are several isolated populations, because the overall pattern is one of expansion. It may also be underreported because people tend not to focus on small weedy plants.
