Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This plant is sometimes cultivated as a bit of an oddity, and escapes may be responsible for records from north of most of its native range. BONAP marks the populations in Connecticut and New Jersey adventive, which we mark expanded because they are relatively close to the native range, but they could perhaps be marked introduced as well.
