Expanded or Not Present

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

This plant is widely planted in gardens, and can occasionally escape cultivation. As a result it has established north of its native range at scattered sites. We mark it expanded because the new populations are relatively contiguous with the native range, separated only by small distances, and the expansion is relatively consistent across its range.
