Peters Mountain Mallow (Iliamna corei (Sherff) Sherff)

The USDA treats both this and the closely-related kankakee mallow (Iliamna remota) as a variety of streambank wild hollyhock (Iliamna rivularis), a western species. Some authorities have proposed treating this as a variety of I. remota but separating that species from I. rivularis. We have followed both BONAP and POWO which treat all three as separate species.
